Jasper “Jerry” Anthony Rotello, 83, of Rockford, passed away on August 13, 2024, at Medina Nursing Home in Durand. He was born on June 24, 1941, in Rockford, the son of Joseph and Mary (DiBella) Rotello. Jerry graduated from West High School, class of 1959 and attended Loyola University in Chicago, graduating in 1963. He served in the US Army, spending his time in Germany as a mail carrier. He married Pamela J. Gradozzi on February 7, 1970. Jerry and Pamela owned and operated J&J Deli in Loves Park. He is a lifelong member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. Jerry enjoyed spending time with his grandkids, playing bingo, participating in arts and crafts, as well as watching the Olympics.
He is survived by his sons, Joseph and Jason (Abbie) Rotello; grandchildren, Brynn and Luca Rotello; sister, Theresa Carver; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is predeceased by his parents; wife, Pam; and aunt, Frances Fanara.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Medina Nursing Home for the wonderful care of Jerry.
