Janina Stanecki

Janina Stanecki, 90, of Rockford passed away Tuesday, January 10, 2017. Born August 10, 1926, in Poland, the daughter of Peter and Bernadette (Obachowska) Buro. Janina married Jozef Stanecki in England on February 3, 1951. She was a member of St. Stanislaus church for 50 years. Janina loved her faith, family and her heritage.
Survived by her children, Henry (Chris) Stanecki, Christine (Mitch) Lind and Theresa (Jerry) Gowan; grandchildren, Andrew, Julie (Ian), Peter, Amy and Victoria; great-grandchildren, Brookelynn, Dayton and Carter; nieces and nephews in England and brother-in-law in Poland. Predeceased by her husband, Jozef in 2002 and grandson Timothy Lind.
Funeral mass will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at St. Stanislaus Church. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. with Rosary recited at 10:30 a.m. Burial in Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
