Jan C. Rice

Jan C. Rice, 83, of Loves Park, passed away on Monday, May 9, 2016 surrounded by her family. She was born on May 11, 1932 in Rockford, the daughter of Everett and Mary (Cole) Gridley. Jan was a wonderful artist with talents in many different mediums. She was a loving mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her children, Peggy (James) Sanders, Nathan Rice, and Peter (Dianna) Rice; her 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; her siblings James Gridley and Barbara Carlson; and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband, Elisha Rice, her son, Steven Stout, parents, and siblings.

A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Greenwood Cemetery, 1101 Auburn Street, Rockford.
