James W. Corbett, 76 Loving Husband, Father and Grandfather ROCKFORD - James W. Corbett, 76, died Saturday, Oct. 9, 2010, in his home surrounded by his family. Born Nov. 14, 1933, in Quincy, Mass., the son of Warren and Jean (Anderson) Corbett. Jim was a veteran, serving during the Korean War in the U.S. Army and Navy. He had been a resident of the Rockford area for 39 years. He owned and operated James W. Corbett Inc., an executive search company, for 25 years. Jim was a friend of Bill W. and took time to enjoy the beach, work in his yard and do a bit of reading when he could. He also enjoyed ballroom dancing. Survivors include his loving wife, Donna of Rockford; daughters, Julie Siddique of Iowa and Jennifer (Chuck) Zaluckyj of Belvidere; stepsons, Brian (Erin) Hayes of Indiana and David Hayes of Wisconsin; foster daughters, Lisa Bywaters of Wheaton and Sheri Whitchurch of Rockford; grandchildren, Olivia and Hayden Zaluckyj of Belvidere; brother, Joe (Lynne) of Arizona; cousins, Kenny Johnson of Arizona and Don (Mary) Ross of Florida; and special friend, Dave Johnson of Rockford. Preceded in death by his parents. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank-you to OSF Hospice Home Care for their professional and kind care during this difficult time. Memorial Mass at noon Tuesday, Oct. 12, in Holy Family Catholic Church, 4407 Highcrest Road, with visitation from 11 a.m. to prayer time at 11:45 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name to Poor Clares Corpus Christi Monastery, 2111 S.
