James R. Stevens, 74
Rockford - James R. Stevens, 74, passed away Friday, May 6, 2016 after a short illness. Born February 26, 1942 in Rockford, the son of Fred and Cheryl Stevens. James worked for Chrysler Company for over 30 years. He served in the United States Air Force. Married his love Linda Carnduff on May 16, 1986. He enjoyed old movies, computers, his puppies Shane and Leia. He also enjoyed bowling, where he had several 300 games, and was a New York Yankees fan. He was a life master of the American Contract Bridge League and a life member of the United States Chess Federation.
Survivors include wife, Linda Stevens; sister Margery Eisenberg; mother-in-law Emmadell Carnduff, and numerous nephews.
