James “Moon” Douglas Wilson, 57, of Rockford, left suddenly May 10, 2019, while working. Born July 7, 1961 in Rockford; son of George and Nina (Logsdon) Wilson.
He was employed at Dach Fence Company.
An avid Chicago Cubs and Bears fan, Moon loved his pets, fishing, playing hockey, baseball and fast-pitch softball, golfing, bowling, drag-strip racing, NASCAR and tipping a beer with friends. But most importantly, he loved his “Roxy.”
He will be remembered for his big hugs, smile, calmness and willingness to lend a hand and the ability to use his “Moon Talk.” Moon was full of life and he touched everyone’s life that knew him. He is sorely missed, greatly loved and watching over us all.
Survivors include his daughter, Elizabeth Wilson; mother, Nina Wilson; brother, Lyman Wilson; sister, Jayne Shindel; his life partner, Rebecca Collier; Rebecca’s children, Bobby (Steph) Vesely, Reva Collier; grandchildren, Ameelya, Zoie and Elijah; brothers-in-law, Mike (Juliet) and Steve (Brenda) Vesely; sister-in-law, Cindy Vesely; aunts, uncles, cousins, niece and nephew and many friends.
