James "Jim" W. Mihm

James “Jim” W. Mihm, 78, of Rockford passed away Friday, June 2, 2017. Born April 1, 1939, in Rochelle, the son of William Patrick and Agnes Mary (Hickey) Mihm. He was a graduate of St. Thomas High School in 1957 then went on to graduate from the pharmacy program at Drake University. Jim married Shirley Booker on April 23, 1966 in Rockford. He adored Shirley and they recently celebrated 51 years of marriage. He was a loving husband, father and enjoyed spending time with his granddaughter, Belle. Jim loved his family more than anything. Jim was a Pharmacist in the Rockford area for 49 years, retiring from Hilander. He was a diehard Chicago White Sox fan. The Mihm Family would like to give a special thank you to Dr. Pfau and his staff at UW Madison.
Lovingly survived by his wife of 51 years, Shirley; children, David Mihm, Lisa Mihm and Danny (Shala) Mihm; granddaughter, Isabella “Belle”; sister, Mary Mihm (Bob) Scott and many loving cousins, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents.
Funeral Service will be at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, June 9, 2017 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Riverside Chapel, 3910 North Rockton Ave., dear friend and brother, Dave Reed will be officiating.
