James "Jim" Anthony Rever

James “Jim” Anthony Rever, 88, Rockford, passed away on Monday, November 4, 2024, at home with his wife, Sharon, by his side. He was born in Rockford on November 16, 1935, the son of George and Ruth (Whitlock) Rever. Jim was a veteran of the Army serving during the Korean War. Jim married Sharon Plymale in Rockford on June 9, 1961. He owned and operated Rever’s Marina on the Rock River for many years until his retirement in June of 2024.

He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Sharon; his son, Bob (Michelle) Rever of Roscoe and his daughter, Jamie Martinez of AZ; his sister, Kathy (Van) Morken; his sister-in-law, Shirley Rever; and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents; his sisters, Pat, Phyllis and Trudy and his brothers, George and Richard.

There will be a Celebration of Life held on Saturday, November 16, 2024, from noon until 3:00 P.M. at Immanuel Lutheran Church North, 2940 Charleston Ct. Caledonia, IL 61011. Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory assisted the family. Share online condolences at www.fitzgeraldfh.com.
