James "Jim" Everett Dickison, 70, passed away peacefully Monday, February 15, 2021. He was born June 24, 1950, in Rockford, IL. the son of Marion (Coleman) and Richard "Dale" Dickison. He grew up in Amboy, IL, earned the nickname “Moose”, and excelled in sports and creating merry mischief. Jim married Anna Race on September 12, 1982, in Rockford IL. From Chicago Bears football and dart tournaments to computers and gun clubs, Jim enjoyed his life passions to the fullest, while making great friends along the way. His sense of humor, contagious laughter, and sweet personality will be missed by so many. He was preceded in death by his mother, Marion; his father, Dale; his stepfather, Irvin Leuscher, and half-brother, Michael Leuscher. He is survived by his wife, Anna; daughter, Anne Dickison and two grandchildren, Beckett and Evie Dickison of Amboy, IL, and siblings, Duane (Connie) Dickison of Amboy and Kathy (Tim) Schutz of Dixon, IL. We're all so grateful for the time we had with him and know that he's up there somewhere bringing joy wherever he goes.
A walk through visitation will be held Monday, February 22 from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. Private family service and burial.
