James E. Mcmullen

James E. McMullen, 88, passed away on November 16, 2020. Born on October 29, 1932 in Neelyville, Missouri, he was son to Everett and Minnie (Gayle) McMullen. Upon graduating from Neelyville High School, he moved to Rockford where he started work at Rockford Screw Products. He enlisted in the Navy in 1952, serving as an Aviation Electronics man for four years. Upon returning to Rockford, he met the love of his life, Alleta Parrish, and they married on July 8, 1960. He retired from Rockford Products and enjoyed being outdoors, often walking in Severson Dells. An avid reader, James enjoyed historical books, and always looked forward to the annual Christmas and birthday books he received.

James will be survived by those who loved him most, his son Randy McMullen; his brother, Dayle McMullen as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife of 45 years, Alleta; his parents; and his sister in law Ruth Ann McMullen.
