James Darrell Rieker

James “Jim” Darrell Rieker, 71, Rockford, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 2, 2017. He was born October 4, 1945, in Chicago, the son of William and Grace (Dahlin) Rieker. Jim married Carol Lewis in Rockford on June 5, 1992. He was a Realtor in the Rockford area for many years. Jim enjoyed golfing, fishing and being a member of the Retired YMCA Men’s Club.
Survived by his wife, Carol; his step-children, Amy Gratton, Greg (Kristin) Lewis, Tom (Trish) Lewis, and Sarah (Frank) Lewis Smith; his grandchildren, Alyssa and Wyatt Gratton, Sophia and Reese Lewis, Alessandria, Charlie, Rose, and Tommy Lewis, and Maxwell Smith; his father, Bill Rieker; his brother, Glenn (Cheryl) Rieker; his nephews, Jordan (Julie) Rieker and Jason Rieker; his mother-in-law, Geraldine Balcitis; his son, Jim and his granddaughter, Tiffany. Predeceased by his daughter, Victoria Rieker, his mother, Grace Rieker, and his sister, Lynn Rieker.
