James D. Robbins

James D. Robbins, 71, of Rockford, died Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at UW Madison Medical Center. Born November 3, 1945 in Charles City, Iowa the son of Adam and LaMona Marie (McDonald) Robbins. Graduated from University of Iowa and married his loving wife Darla Kammrad. James worked for Rockford Mutual for several years and enjoyed spending time with family and grandchildren, traveling, gardening, gambling, reading. Survivors include his wife, Darla Robbins; children, Jenny (Jason) Nichols and Daniel Robbins, grandchildren, Alexander and Aaron Nichols; siblings: Jeannette (Harlan) Hemmes, David Sibert, Phyllis Sibert, Adam Robbins as well as many half-siblings, nieces and nephews.

Visitation for James is Sunday, August 27, 2017 from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, Mulford Chapel 1860 S. Mulford Rd. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Rock River Valley Food Pantry or the Rockford Rescue Mission.
