James D. Fritts

James D. Fritts, 86 of Rockford, died July 8, 2007. Born October 26, 1920 in Cincinnati, OH, son of James and Flora (Smith) Fritts. James married Elaine Horbelt on April 12, 1958 in Quincy, IL. She predeceased him on June 7, 2007. James served in World War II with the United States Air Force. He was employed by Barber- Coleman and was a member of the Knights of Columbus, IEEE and a parishioner of Holy Family Catholic Church. Survivors include his children Paul (Margaret) Fritts, Roland (Kathy) Fritts, Pam (Greg) DuBach, Marty (Tina) Fritts, Charlie (Jennifer) Fritts, Beth Fritts Roe, Helen Fritts and George (Sharon) Fritts. Grandchildren Shane and Melinda; Ryan, Tyson and Amanda; Tim and Michelle; Hannah and Haley; Winston and Henry. Predeceased by his wife, parents and brother Earl. Funeral Mass will be held in Holy Family Catholic Church, Wednesday, July 11, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. Interment private. Memorials to the Alzheimers Association, 4777 E. State St., Rockford, IL 61108.
