Jacob "Jake" M. Hamilton

Jacob “Jake” M. Hamilton, 23, of Rockford, passed away Sunday, July 22, 2018 at Mercy Health Hospital. Born June 12, 1995, in Rockford, the son of Beth (Plumb) Hamilton and Brad M. Hamilton. Graduated from Guilford High School. Class of 2013. He went on to receive his associates from RVC. He worked for Chrysler Corporation. Jacob was a kind soul, funny, loving, confident, and smart man. He enjoyed music, working out and just loving life. He’d give his shirt off his back to anyone in need. His friends and family were everything to him. He was a big brother who would have done anything for his little brother. In his short life he made such a huge impact on those who knew him. He had a contagious smile that would light up a room and had a love for animals.
Survivors include parents, Beth Hamilton and Brad (Lisa) Hamilton; brother, Adam; paternal grandparents Roger and Jan Hamilton; Aunt Dana (Don) Bloyer and their children Nate and Emilie; Uncle Mike (Kathy) Plumb and their children Danielle and Noah. Predeceased by maternal grandmother, Ann Musy; Paternal great grandparents John (Emily) Hallden and maternal great grandmother Opal Britt.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, July 28, 2018 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. Rockford, IL 61108. Visitation from 11 a.m. to time of service. Burial at Scandinavian Cemetery.
