Irene A. Pauletto

Irene Pauletto, 94, of Rockford, passed away December 31, 2018 in her home. Born May 19, 1924 in Rockford; she was the daughter of Peter and Teresa (Zanocco) Gaspari. She married Bruno Pauletto on August 29, 1970 in Rockford.
A graduate of Muldoon High School, Irene retired from Illinois Bell after 38 years of employment. She was member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church where she was an usher and a member of the Ladies of St. Bernadette. She was also a member of the Venetian Club and Presence St. Anne Center Auxiliary.
She enjoyed card games, traveling, attending lunch with her senior group, bocce ball, bowling, golf, babysitting and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her sister, Cornelia Gastner; step-sons, Albert (Amanda), Sid (Gail), Geno and Jim (Michelle) Pauletto; 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and a dear friend, Gene Readette.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband and sisters, Catherine Cebas, Elizabeth Bloom, Angie Harrigan and Esther Gaspari.
Funeral Mass 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 5, 2019 at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 2400 Bell Avenue, Rockford. Visitation 9:30 a.m. until time of service at the church. Entombment in Calvary Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Crusader Community Health Foundation or Northern Illinois Hospice.
