Iola Hoffman

Iola J. Hoffman of Rockford. Passed away at 4:48 pm on Tuesday March 16, 2010 inher home after a short illness. She was born May 29, 1924 in Sidney , Montana, the daughter of Fredrick and Mollie Martini. She came to Rockford in 1942 where she met her husband Walter. They married on June 2, 1945. Walter predeceased her on May 24, 2006. She worked at Lloyds Hearing Aid, Amerock, Goldblats and at the Cosmetics counter at JC Penny. Member of Temple Baptist Church.Survivors include her daughter Linda(Phil)Carlson of Winnebago and Son Fred(Maureen)Hoffman of Rockford. Four Grandchildren Kevin (Jenny) Carlson of Pecatonica, Curt (Angie) Taylor of Rochelle, Rodney and Elden Hoffman both of Rockford. Great Granchildren Devin, Austin and Madison Carlson and a granddaughter on the way. Predeceased by her Parents, Husband and many brothers and sisters.Services at 2pm Saturday March 20, 2010 in Fitzgerald Funeral Home 1860 S. Mulford Rd. with burial in Scandinavian Cemetery. Visitation from 1pm until time of service Saturday in the funeral home.
