Ida Jane Johnson

Ida Jane Johnson, 92, Rockford, passed away in her home on Saturday, December 31, 2022. She was born on December 21, 1930, in Lakeview, South Dakota, the daughter of Joseph and Annie Hoekman. Ida married Donald Johnson in Clinton, WI on August 8, 1952. He passed away on November 16, 2022. She worked at Dyna Corp for many years until her retirement. She was a longtime member of Our Master’s United Methodist Church and later Christ United Methodist Church. She enjoyed camping with her family, playing Sudoku and doing jigsaw puzzles. Her greatest love was spending time with her grandchildren.

Survived by her son, Craig Johnson, Sr. of Rockford; her daughter, Donna (Bobby) Cash of Elburn; her grandchildren, Craig Johnson, Jr., Cody Johnson and Marisa (Christopher) Motley; her great granddaughter, Cora Motley; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband of 70 years Don; her parents; several brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M on Friday, January 6, 2023, at Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. Rockford with Reverend Jane Bradford officiating.
