Ida Dal Fratello

Ida M. Dal Fratello, 96, Rockford, died at 12:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 18, 2012 in Rockford Memorial Hospital. Born December 29, 1915 in Ladd, IL, daughter of Carmelo and Concetta Guzzo. Married Dino F. Dal Fratello in Rockford on April 11, 1937. She had previously been employed by Nelson Knitting Co. then spent 16 years working at McIntosh School. She was a long time member of St. Patrick Catholic Church where she was active in many aspects of the church. Ida was a loving mother and grandmother, a good wife and a devoted Catholic.Survivors include her son, Michael Dal Fratello; daughter, Mary (John) Galvan; grandchildren, Jessica, Marie, John, Kathleen, Dena and Mitzi; six grandchildren; 3 greatgrandchildren; brother, Mike Guzzo, nieces and nephews and special friends, Jim and Pat Stroup. Predeceased by her husband on February 25, 2001, parents, son, Richard Dal Fratello, 4 sisters and 2 brothers.Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 21, 2012 in St. Patrick Catholic Church.
