Hyun Sop "Charlie" Jun President of SHOGUN Japanese Resturant Hyun Sop "Charlie" Jun, 58, a resident of Rockford for 30 years, died on April 30, 2009 in his home surrounded by his family. Charlie was born February 9, 1951 in Jaechon, South Korea the son of Bong Joo Jun and Young Boon Oh. Charlie married Eun Ja "Linda" Song on April 16, 1977 in South Korea. Charlie attended high school in South Korea and had served in the South Korean Air Force. He was the former owner of Park-It Market Convenient Store for 13 years, former owner of Golf America for three years and President of SHOGUN Japanese Restaurant which was established in 2000. Charlie was a member of Rockford Korean Presbyterian Church, a Tae Kwon Do Master (4th Degree Black Belt), loved golfing and spending time with his family. Charlie is survived by his wife, Eun Ja "Linda" Jun; daughter, Adrienne Jun-Hyun (Kent Hyun son, Addison Jun; two brothers, Chang Sop Jun and John Rudolph; sister, Chang Hee Jun and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, brothers, sisters. Funeral services for Charlie will be held on Monday, May 4, 2009 at 12:00 P.M. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd., with Rev. Yong Kim officiating, followed by burial in Scandinavian Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 3, 2009 from 6 - 9 P.M. at the funeral home. Family and friends may
