Henrietta Baumgardner

Henrietta L. (PorterVanzant) Baumgardner, 84, of Poplar Bluff, MO former Rockford, IL resident, passed away Sunday, June 17, 2012 in Poplar Bluff, MO. Born January 24, 1928 in Corning, AR to Asie and Myrtle (Compton) Porter. She married Avon Vanzant in 1946. Together they enjoyed fishing, camping and boating until his passing on June 13, 1990. She married Jake Baumgardner on June 1, 2002 in Rockford and moved to Poplar Bluff with him. Together they enjoyed dancing and eating out. Henrietta worked for Nylint for 40 years, retiring in 1992. She was a very loving, kind and compassionate person. She truly enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and greatgrandchildren. She had one great grandchild and one greatgreatgrandchild that she didnt have a chance to meet, but loved them just the same and asked about them often.

Survivors include her son and daughterinlaw, Mike amp; Glenda Vanzant; grandchildren, Kelly (Joe) Fuller, Kerry (Jim) Dawson and Kim (Jeff) Stadler; greatgrandchildren, Chris, Zack, Caleb, Ashley, Taner, Abbie, Nolan and Hayden; greatgreat grandchild, Westen; sisters, Alma Crown and Vana (Bill) Mitchell; brother, Olen (Joyce) Porter; numerous nieces, nephews and other family and friends. Predeceased by first husband, infant son, parents, sisters, Mildred Green, Pauline Brown and Lois Tripp.
