Helen M. Waugh

Helen M. Waugh passed away Thursday, July 26, 2012 at Rockford Memorial Hospital after a short illness. Born July 25, 1921 in Monroe, Wisconsin, the daughter of John and Anna (Divan) Keegan. She was a graduate of Muldoon High School. Helen married Frank Waugh in Rockford on December 13, 1944. She was a secretary at Ingersoll before becoming a homemaker for her 7 children. After raising her family she worked at Trinket Tree Jewelry and Crest Fashions. Helen was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. Helen was a loving and devoted wife and mother who always put her family first. She will be greatly missed. The family would like to thank the staff at Medina Nursing Home in Durand, and Dr. Willard Moore for their kindness, compassion and care.Survived by her husband, Frank; children, Pamela (Paul) Chojnicki of Effingham, Maureen (Steven) Paris of Los Alamos, NM, Gregory Waugh of Phoenix, AZ, Julie Waugh, Gary (Lynette) Waugh, Nanette (Matthew) Zickert and Lisa (Paul) Calvagna, all of Rockford; grandchildren, Eric (Julia) Chojnicki, Chad (Traci) Chojnicki, Amanda Chojnicki, Rachel Waugh, Melissa and Nick Paris, Jordan and Brianna Zickert, Meghan and Rebecca Calvagna; greatgrandchildren, Thomas Chojnicki, Lucy Chojnicki, Margo and Kate Chojnicki; numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents, sisters, Julia Gaulrapp, Mrytice Flannigan, Katherine Koler, Maurgrite Kling, Josephine Darden and brother, John R. Keegan. Funeral mass will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at Holy Family Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 9:30 until the time of service on Wednesday at the church.
