Heidi C. Breon

Heidi C. Breon, 47, of Rockford passed away Monday, January 8, 2018 in her husband’s arms, surrounded by her family, after a courageous two year battle with cancer. Born June 23, 1970, in Rockford, the daughter of Jeffrey and Gale (Erickson) Vincent. Heidi was a graduate of East High School and earned her Master’s degree from the University of Illinois Chicago. Heidi married Shawn W. Breon on October 14, 1995 in Rockford. Heidi was a mechanical engineer, working at Ingersoll and spending the past 15 years at Woodward, where she was adored and respected by her co-workers. Heidi enjoyed aviation and hot air ballooning as well as spending time with family at Lake Alva, Wisconsin. Heidi was a devoted and loving mother to her son, Kyle. She attended all of his RCS school functions, swim meets, Cub Scout activities and martial arts classes at Elite Defense Systems. Heidi was a member of Zion Lutheran Church.

Lovingly survived by her husband of 22 years, Shawn; son, Kyle; parents, Jeffrey and Gale Vincent; twin sister, Stacy (Nathan) Jones; in-laws, Denny and Linda Breon; sisters-in-law, Cindy (Eron) Harvey and Stacy (Mike) Riley. Heidi was a cherished aunt to Evan, Haley, Savannah (Scott), Sierra, Sophie, Jesse, Jacob and Jada. Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 12, 2018 at Northeast Christian Church with Pastor Wayne Hume officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday at the church and will continue on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
