Haylie E. Goodin, 34

Rockford - Haylie Elizabeth Goodin, 34, passed away, after a courageous battle with cancer, Sunday, August 31, 2014, in her home with her family by her side. Born November 14, 1979, the daughter of Paul and Linda (Wagner) Sanders. Graduate of Stillman Valley High School, Class of 1998. Married to Aaron Goodin on June 19, 2004. She worked for the Rockford Park District for over 12 years, most recently as a horticulturalist at the Nicholas Conservatory and Gardens. She loved native plants, the outdoors, music, and most of all, spending time with her children and family.
She is survived by her husband Aaron; children Natalie and Benjamin Goodin; parents Paul and Linda Sanders; brother Jason (Sarah) Sanders; mother and father in-law Rose and Don Goodin. Paternal grandparents Francis and Dorothy Sanders; three brothers in-law Nathan (Logan), Isaac, and Josiah Goodin; dear friend Robyn Bernd; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and the family dog, Cricket. She is predeceased by maternal grandparents William and Shirley Wagner, Aunt Debbie Sanders, and Uncle Mitch Wagner.

Services will be 10 AM Friday, September 5, 2014, at Fitzgerald funeral home and crematory.1860 South Mulford Rd., Rockford, IL. Burial at Scandinavian Cemetery. Visitation Thursday from 5 to 7:30 PM at Fitzgerald Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family for a scholarship fund to be established for Haylie's children.
