Harry Burpo, 81, of Rockford, passed away at 12:49 p.m. on Wednesday June 27, 2007 at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center. Born June 2, 1926 in Neelyville, Mo; the son of George and Ollie (McGee) Burpo. Married Elsie C. Sundberg in Rockford on May 27, 1972. Served in the Army during WWII serving in Germany. Harry was a machinist at Greenlee Bros amp; Renberg-Jacoson. He retired in 1986. He was a member of Calvary Memorial Church. Harry loved to go camping, dancing with the Forest City Squares and also enjoyed gardening. Survivors include his wife, Elsie; daughters, Sandy (fianca(c), Frank Tripp) Malott and Lori (Jim) Godfrey; grandchildren, Julie (Scott) Straley, T.J. (Beth) Burpo, Christa (Jeremiah) Nottingham, Kara (Chris) Menken, Heather (Mike) Descourouez; nine great-grandchildren; sister, Dorothy Hughes and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by daughter, Margaret Holmes; son, Gary Burpo; brothers, Luther Burpo and George Ira Burpo; and sister, Bernice Hefner. Memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, July 2, 2007 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home amp; Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. Rockford, ILnbsp; 61108 with Rev.
