Harold Wilbur Starbuck

Harold Wilbur Starbuck, 92, passed away Tuesday, September 24, 2019, at P.A. Peterson Nursing Home in Rockford. Harold was born October 31, 1926, in St. Joseph, MI, the son of Earl and Virgine (Freestone) Starbuck. He married Marianne Freda Rocks in El Paso, TX on October 27, 1945. She preceded him in death on November 9, 2013. He worked and lived in St. Joseph and Benton Harbor, MI until 1968, where he was Plant Manager at the Voice of Music. He moved to Rockford and was employed as Plant Manager at Nylint Corporation until his retirement.
Survived by his 2 sons, Alan (Diane) Starbuck and Scott (Kimberly) Starbuck and his daughter, Susan Van Dyke; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In accordance with Harold’s wishes, a graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 1, 2019, at Arlington Memorial Park Cemetery with Reverend Peter Dibley officiating. Donations may be made to the First Evangelical Covenant Church, 316 Wood Rd., Rockford, IL 61107 in Harold’s name. Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory assisted the family.
