Harold O. Durham

Rockford - Harold O. Durham, 89, passed away March 7, 2017 at Mercy Health Systems. Born January 29, 1928, in Rockford Illinois, the son of Walter & Katie (Lee) Durham. He was employed at Mott Bros. Co. for 46 years retiring in 1996. He served in the United States Navy from 1946 to 1948. He married Lenice Hoffman on October 2, 1948 at St. Peter's Cathedral in Rockford, Illinois. He was a member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church. He enjoyed family, fishing, hunting, and gardening.
Survivors include wife; sons, James, Daniel (Vicki), Ronald (Grace) Durham; daughters, Gerianne (Robert) Blood, Helen (Michael) Webster, and Sheila (Mark) Miller. 11 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, 4 brothers, 3 sisters and daughter-in-law Debra.
Funeral mass will be 10 AM Monday, March 13, 2017 at Saint Bernadette's Catholic Church, 2400 Bell Ave, Rockford, IL 61103. Burial at Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation from 9 AM to 9:45 AM Monday at the church. In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to donor’s choice of charity in Harold's name.
