Hannah K. Davis

Hannah K. Davis, 21, of Rockford, IL, passed away on September 19, 2021. She was born on December 25, 1999 in Rockford to Scott and Nicki (Boin) Davis. Hannah was only 2 years old when she was originally diagnosed with Leukemia. She had to endure 2.5 years of Chemotherapy and at 4.5 years old they thought she had it beat. She remained in remission for over 14 years then 2 weeks before her graduation from Jefferson High School Hannah found out that her Leukemia was back. She had to endure another 3.5 years of multiple types of treatments and had to go around many road blocks to get to her bone marrow transplant on August 27th. Her sister was a perfect match and even though the transplant seemed to be taking, Hannah's body was just too tired and her liver and kidneys gave up. Hannah fought with everything she had and always remained positive through it all. She was so strong and brave and if you ever asked her how she was, she'd say "It's fine, Everything's fine." She was the sweetest person you would have ever met and she was loved and adored by everyone. She loved nature and all types of animals and literally couldn’t even hurt a fly. When she could, she enjoyed volunteering her time at PAWS. Hannah will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.

Hannah is survived by her parents, Scott and Nicki Davis; her sister and best friend, Heather (Nick Walter) Davis; her boyfriend, Jesse Try; her grandma, Margie (Joe) Snyder; her grandpa, Claude (Sue) Davis; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Larry and Beverly Boin.

The family would like to extend a very special Thank You to Dr. Carol Diamond and all of the wonderful staff at American Family Children’s Hospital in Madison for all of their love, support, and care they provided over the many years.

Celebration of Life for Hannah will take place on October 2, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, 1860 S. Mulford Rd., Rockford, IL 61108. Cremation rights will be accorded. Masks will be required during the Celebration of Life. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the family to establish a memorial at a later date.
