Hallie E. Saack

Hallie E. Saack, 84, of Rockford passed away peacefully Friday, March 29, 2013 at Fairview Nursing Plaza. Born August 31, 1928 in Frankfort, Kentucky; the daughter of Peter and Nellie Crawford. She was raised by Ples and Ethel Mitchell. Hallie married Harold J. Saack in Lexington, Kentucky on June 12, 1946. She was a member of the 20th Street Baptist Church. Hallie loved growing flowers, watching the birds she fed, and collecting chicken figurines. Lovingly survived by her sons, Gerald (Louise) of Roscoe and Michael of Rockford, sister, Dora in Kentucky, grandchildren, Marcy, Laura and Cynthia and 4 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her husband, Harold in 2004, sons, Harold Jr. and Charles, daughter, Margaret and brother, William. She also leaves behind special friends Norm and Lynn, Paul, Dessie, Ann, and many others. Special thanks to the staff at Fairview, especially the CNA's.
Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 4, 2013 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Thursday. Private family burial in New Milford Cemetery. To
