H. June Malloy

Born in Fort Dodge, IA July 29, 1927 to James David Malloy and Helen Louise Fry. She departed this life June 14, 2015, was married to Edward J. Monahan April 29, 1949 and together raised 5 children.
June was a wonderful homemaker who created a beautiful and nurturing home while raising her family with love and kindness always shining through. She loved to cook and was a fabulous cook and baker who believed in a clean house, raising children with good manners and finding joy in every day. She had a beautiful singing voice and delighted her family on St. Patricks day and special holidays. She loved country music and songs that had heart. She was an avid reader all her life who believed one should always have a good book going and passed that love on to her children. She had many life long friends and her positive and friendly nature was a joy to all who knew her. In later years she enjoyed her work in the emergency room at Rockford Memorial Hospital and later as a receptionist at Atwood Vacuum Machine where she made many good friends. June was deeply loved by family and friends and will be greatly missed.

Survived by; children; Patricia (Vern) Eldridge, Timothy Monahan, Peggy (Thomas) Sala, Maureen (Keith) Wilson and Molly (Dan) Daugherty; 9 grandchildren; Ryan, Shawn (Megan) and Eilise Sala; Kerensa, Christopher and Caleb Wilson, Chelsea Eldridge and Connor and Shannon Daugherty and great-granddaughters, Sofia and Petra Sala and brother, Jim Malloy of Nashville. Memorial Mass 1 p.m. Saturday, June 20, 2015 at Presence Cor Mariae Chapel. Inurnment at Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation from noon until 12:45 pm Saturday in the chapel. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Presence Cor Mariea. Express online condolences at www.fitzgeraldfh.com
