Gregory Ray Cantrell

Gregory Ray Cantrell, 55, of Rockford passed away on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 in Rockford. Greg was born on June 30, 1966, in DeKalb, Illinois, the son of Ray Cantrell and Marilyn O’Bryant. He was a 1984 graduate of DeKalb High School. He was the owner and operator of Garage Door Services in Rockford. He enjoyed stock car racing and fishing. He also served in the Marine Corps.
He is survived by his parents, Ray (Carol) Cantrell of DeKalb and Marilyn O’Bryant of Blaine, Minnesota; children, Greg Cantrell Jr. of DeKalb, Heather Cantrell of DeKalb, Tim Cantrell of Rockford, Austin Cantrell of Creston, and Bella Cantrell of Farmington, Minnesota; 2 grandchildren, Valerie and Hunter Cantrell; siblings, Cathy Wingrove of Minnesota, Lynn Zimmerman of Minnesota, Diane McLean of Lee, Kim Fleetwood of Sycamore, Mary Mead-Cantrell of Oregon, Illinois, Steve Cantrell of Sycamore, Scott Cantrell of Sugar Grove, Jason O’Bryant of Minnesota, and Brandon O’Bryant of Oregon; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
