Grace Adele Long

Grace Adele Long passed away peacefully in her sleep early Sunday morning, February 7, 2021. She was the daughter of Benjamin and Grace Lear of Belvidere. She was born on January 10, 1920 and lived to be 101 years old. Grace Adele grew up in Belvidere and graduated from Belvidere High School. She worked at Barber Coleman where she met her husband, Donald Buds Long. They were married in 1951 and five years later they moved to Rockford where they raised two children. Vacations were spent in Lake Mills Wisconsin and Florida. She enjoyed swimming, crafting, sewing and going to garage sales. Survivors include, Daughter, Nancy (Daniel) Dunnavan, granddaughters, Melissa (Justin) Fehrman, Lyndsey (KC) Halik, Britney ( Neal) Dunnavan Anderson and seven great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her mother, Grace Lear, father, Benjamin Lear, brother, Robert Lear, husband, Donald Long, and son Randy Long. The family would like to sincerely thank the wonderful staff of Heritage Woods of Rockford for the excellent care they gave Grace over the past 10 years.
