Gloria Jean Tobolt

Gloria Jean Tobolt, 81, of Rockford, passed away May 14, 2022 at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center. Born February 21, 1941 in Aurora, IL, the daughter of Ernest & Elizabeth Marie (Bellante) Kimpon. She married Terry Tobolt in Hanover Park, on June 14, 1980. Gloria owned and operated 3 restaurants in California and taught culinary arts at Shasta College. She was the catering director at Wesley Willows and opened Miss G’s downtown at Stewart Square.
Gloria enjoyed life, she was known for her smile and being the life of a party. Both Terry and her traveled in every state in the US. They also traveled to Canada and Mexico. Gloria loved cooking, dancing and spending time with her grandchildren. Gloria enjoyed spending time with all her friends in California and Illinois and treasured their company and had long lasting friendships. She will be dearly missed.
Survivors include husband, Terry Tobolt; children, Robert (fiancée Monica Rodriguez) Nowacki, Lisa (Emanuel) Vargas, Andrew Nowacki, Timothy (Tasha) Nowacki, Thad Tobolt and Torry (Heather) Tobolt; eight grandchildren; sisters, Dorothy Gates, Sharon Sweeney and Terry (Sal) Rubio; and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents and sister, Julie Kimpon.
