Gloria (Eck)Beard

Gloria EckBeard Glo, 63 passed away Thursday March 8.nbsp; She was born February 19, 1949 in Rockford, the daughter of Bert and Mae Eck. Graduate of Guilford High School class of 1967. nbsp;Gloria worked as a Respiratory Therapist for Rockford memorial Hospital then at Park Strathmoor. She was instrumental in starting Candle Lighters, a group to help families struggling financially with children suffering from leukemia and cancer. She loved fishing, dancing, soccer, strong faith and her Family was a big part of her life, especially her grandchildren.

Survivors include her three sons Jason (Denise) Beard, Chad Beard and Brett (Rachel) Beard all of Machesney Park.nbsp; Grandchildren, Cory love bug Hunter, Jacob, Alexandra, Destiny, Antonio and Vincenzo.nbsp; Sister, Marlene Logan.nbsp; Special nieces, Debbie Preston and Mindy (Mike) Short and nephews Matt (Julie) Logan and Mark Logan.nbsp; As well as many other nieces and nephews. nbsp;nbsp;Predeceased by her parents, sisters, Elaine Sment and Sally Eck.nbsp; Brother Steven Eck.

Funeral Mass at 10am Tuesday March 13, 2012 in Holy Family Catholic Church.nbsp; Burial in Scandinavian Cemetery.nbsp; Visitation from 5pm until 7pm Monday March 12 in Fitzgerald Funeral Home 1860 S. Mulford Road, visitation also from 9am until 9:45 Tuesday in the church.nbsp; In lieu of flowers memorials to the family.nbsp;
