Glenn R. Carnahan

Glenn R. Carnahan, 46, of Rockford died on November 3, 2007 in his home surrounded by his loving family. Glenn was born May 22, 1961 in Yuba City, California, the son of Charles Ray and Shirley (Hufford) Carnahan. Glenn married Cheryl Arthofer March 17, 2003 in South Lake Tahoe, CA and moved to Rockford. Glenn was a US Navy Veteran of the Persian Gulf War and had retired from the US Navy on February 28, 2001. Glenn had worked as an Accountant/Controller for Rockford Hospitality for the past four and one half years. He had attended South New Hampshire University where he acquired his Bachelors Degree in Accounting. Glenn was a member of the Navy Club of Rockford and a life member of the VFW Post No.7981 in North Chicago, IL. He loved attending beer tours, festivals and concerts. Glenn also loved playing trivia games, darts, shooting pool, was an avid San Francisco 49ers and Giants fan and especially loved spending time with his grandchildren. Glenn is survived by his wife, Cheryl; his mother, Shirley Carnahan; his children, Damon Davis, Nicole Davis, Carmen Davis and Jerika Carey; his grandchildren; Isaiah, Michaela, Jalon, Jenica, Audrey, Zaraya and Jalesa; his brother Charles (Chrissy) Carnahan; his sister, Luann Carnahan; his very close father-in-law, Boniface Arthofer and many nieces and nephews. Glenn was preceded in death by his father Charlie; his brother Roger; his mother-in-law, Sharon Lee (Smothers) Arthofer; his granddaughter, Kyesa and one grandson. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 7, 2007 from 4 pm until 8 pm at Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. The funeral and burial for Glenn will be private. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the University of Wisconsin Madison Cancer Clinic, 600 Highland Ave., Madison, WI 53792.
