Glenda R. Jaros

Glenda R. Jaros, 88, Rockford, passed away on Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center. She was born on August 4, 1934, in Kankakee, the daughter of Glenn and Ruth (Rosendahl) Corkill. She married Martin Jaros, Jr. on September 4, 1954, in Kankakee. He passed away on July 25, 2019. Glenda was a licensed real estate broker in the Rockford area where she worked for Whitehead Realtors for 35 years. She was a longtime member of Holy Family Catholic Church.

Survived by her daughter, Laura Derry; her granddaughter, Michelle (Kyle) Haley; her great grandson, Declan Martin Haley; her sister, Donna (Bob) Rasche; her niece, Paula (Bob) Kobylski; her nephews, Jeff (Jamie) Rasche, Kenny (Marge) Jaros, Jimmy and Tommy John Jaros. Predeceased by her loving husband of 64 years, Martin; her parents; her son, Michael Martin Jaros; her son-in-law, Tom Derry; her brother, Gene Corkill.

Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, July 24, 2023, at Holy Family Catholic Church, 4401 Highcrest Rd. Rockford, with Reverend Phillip Kaim officiating. There will be a luncheon for family and friends immediately following the service at church. Private family burial will take place later. Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until the time of Mass at the church. Arrangements by Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. Rockford.
