Gladys C. Malloy, 97, of Rockford, Il. passed away on Christmas Eve morning in her home surrounded by family. She was born on January 25, 1920 in Little Black, Wisconsin to Elsie and John Plockelmann. Gladys joined the Army during WWII working in the Pentagon and married Lewis H. Malloy following the war. They settled in Rockford to raise their family. Gladys retired from the Rockford Public Schools as an office professional. Gladys enjoyed sewing and other hand crafts, spending time with her camping club and quilting bee friends and family. Survivors include daughter, Colleen Magee, grandchildren Christina and Kevin Magee and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by husband, Lewis Malloy, son, Michael, 4 sisters and 1 brother. Services will be held 12:00 p.m. at the Chapel at Calvary Catholic Cemetery on January 2, 2018. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Northern Illinois Hospice.
