Gina K. Gordon

Gina K. Gordon, 88, Rockford, passed away Thursday, September 4, 2014, in OSF St. Anthony Medical Center. She was born September 24, 1925, in Amsterdam, Netherlands, the daughter of Nathan and Gizella (Tabak) Swaab. Gina was an aesthetician and the owner of Gina's Facial Salon for many years. She attended Synagogue Ohave Sholom and was a member of the local of Hadassah chapter.
Survived by her sons, Marty (Nancy) Langenberg of Rockford, Bob (Pam) Langenberg of Johnsburg, and Terry (Carol) Gordon of Rockford; her step-son, Wim (Marietje) Langenberg of the Netherlands; grandchildren, Michelle (Ryan) Heggemeier, Matt (Laura) Langenberg, Justin (Cary) Langenberg, Melissa ( Tom) Lawson, and Michael (Kristin) Gordon; great-grandchildren,Brandon and Brianna Lawson, Tyler and Camden Gordon, Maddux "M.J." Heggemeier and Maxie Langenberg; her brother, Robert (Mary) Swaab of Rockford and her sister, Rachel Gies of St. Charles; nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents and her brother-in-law, Larry Gies.
Private graveside services will be held at Rockford Hebrew Cemetery followed by a memorial gathering at the home of her son, Marty. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Gina's name to Hadassah C/O Temple Beth El, 1203 Comanche Dr. Rockford, 61107. Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory assisted the family.
