Gina M. Hasenyager

Gina M. (Parrovecchio) Hasenyager, 68, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family in her hometown of Rockford, Illinois on April 11, 2024. She was born on March 5, 1956, one of three daughters to Tony and Josephine (Zummo) Parrovecchio. She graduated from Boylan Catholic High School class of 1974 and married her high school sweetheart, Edward Hasenyager on October 21, 1978. She spent over 45 years working for Javon Bea Hospital – Rockton, formally known as Rockford Memorial. In her free time, she loved watching true crime TV, was a big movie buff, but most of all she loved spending quality time with her nieces and nephews or trading books she read with her sister, Annette.

She will be survived by those who loved her most, her husband of 45 years, Ed; her sister Annette (Ed Wolf) Parrovecchio-Jurgenson and her children Cicely (Rob) Combs, Kim (Mark) Binder and Nathan Jurgenson; great nieces and nephews Tony, Mabel, Riley, Ruth, Keileigh, Kaisley, and Kyzer; Ed’s siblings Paul Hasenyager, Dennis (Virginia) Hasenyager, Peggy (Bill) Hyser, Steve (LuAnn) Hasenyager, Janet Lotter, Linda (Jeff) Misuraca, Marty (Laura) Hasenyager, Joe (Heather) Hasenyager and all of their families. She is predeceased by her parents; her sister Lori (Pat) O’Brien; her in-laws Ken and Roberta Hasenyager; brother-in-law Rick Lotter and infant sister-in-law Lynn Hasenyager. 

Cremation rites were accorded with Fitzgerald Funeral Home. A time to gather and celebrate Gina’s life will take place on Saturday, May 11, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the Lombardi Club, 209 Olive Street, Rockford, Illinois 61107.
