Geraldine "Geri" Sheppard

Geraldine E. Sheppard, 98, of Rockford, went to her heavenly home on, Sunday, June 7, 2015. She was born in Sheffield, Iowa on May 20, 1917. She married her husband, Glen H. Sheppard in 1933. Geri was very patriotic, and loved our country dearly. She loved watching C-SPAN, and even collected State Flags. She wasn’t a woman to mince words; Geri was feisty and sassy, and anyone that knew her, knew that well. She was also an animal lover, and thought that “animals were easier to get along with than some people.” Geri will be missed dearly.

Survivors include her daughter, Glenda Kincannon; grandchildren, David (Mary) Hales, Kelly (Jay) Rhyner, Troy (Lisa) Hales, Jill (Dan Draheim) Kincannon; 8 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren.

Geraldine is predeceased by her parents; husband, Glen; and sons, Douglas E. and Dennis A. Sheppard.
