Gerald 'Jerry' L. Riley, 69, Caledonia, died Wednesday, March 20, 2013 in Myrtle Beach, SC. Born August 4, 1943 in Danbury, Iowa, son of Frederick and Caroline (Kleine) Riley. Married to Phyllis J. Campbell on June 26, 1965. Employed in the fastener industry for 50 years including Camcar/Textron and Specialty Screw. He loved spending time with his family, especially grandchildren, working in his yard, traveling to Myrtle Beach and was a die-hard Cubs fan.
Survived by his wife; children, Keith (Michelle) Riley, Mark (Lynne) Riley, Carma (Gary) Kieffer; grandchildren, Aaron, Chase and Livi Riley, Nick and Jesi Bly, Katie Loback, Em, Gabby and Lexi Riley, Cassie and Jacob Kieffer; brother, Tom (Cheryl) Riley; sister, Arlene (Delton) Barton, sisters-in-law, Nancy Riley, Dorothy Riley and Delores Pickett. Predeceased by his parents, brothers, Wilbur 'Skeeter', Cecil, LeRoy and sisters, Darlene and Roselle Riley and Virginia Wilcoxen; mother and father-in-law and brother-in-law.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 26, 2013 in Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. with Rev. William R. Wentink officiating. Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation from 10:00 a.m. until time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family for a future memorial in Jerry's name.
