Gerald L. Oliver

Gerald L. Oliver, 77, of Rockford passed away Thursday, November 24, 2016 at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center. Born August 27, 1939 in Rockford, the son of Harold E. & Agnes E. (O’Day) Oliver. Gerald worked for Rockford Clutch for 30 years.
He enjoyed watching NASCAR, playing golf, going fishing, but most of all he loved spending time with his family. Gerald is survived by sons Gerald “Oliver” Leatherman, John (Linda) and Mark Oliver; 4 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; brother Lester Oliver; sister Elsie Crosby; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by parents and brothers Harold and Don Oliver.
Cremation rites were accorded. Private memorial service at a later date. In memory of Gerald memorials may be made to OSF St. Anthony Center for Cancer Care.
