Gerald "Jerry" J. Williamson, 78, of Rockford, went home to meet his Savior and God, Friday, December 20, 2013, after a lengthy illness. Born the son of Bertha (Hubner) and Raymond Williamson on March 8, 1935 in Mauston, Wisconsin. He served in the Army and was a Korean veteran. Jerry married the love of his life, Elaine Theisen on July 24, 1965. Jerry was active in church work serving on many boards at Calvary Memorial Church. He served as secretary and chairman of Berean Baptist School and he ushered and volunteered in the office at First Free Church. Jerry had a big heard of gold and he hated to tell anyone no. He was very gifted and was employed by Woodward for 32 years. He will certainly be missed.
Survived by his wife, Elaine; sister, Evelyn Norton, of W. Salem, Wisconsin and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents, one sister and seven brothers.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 4, 2013 at First Free Evangelical Church. Visitation will be from noon until the time of service on Saturday at the church.
