Gerald "Jerry" T. Carlson

Gerald “Jerry” T. Carlson, 69, of Rockford, passed away on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center. He was born on February 15, 1947 in Rockford; son of Thursten and Gulli (Johnson) Carlson. Married Linda Powell in Rockford on August 30, 1969. Jerry graduated from Rockford East High School, class of 1966. He was a car and motorcycle enthusiast and had a love for all animals. He enjoyed spending time at his favorite spot in Lake Mills, Wisconsin. Jerry and Linda loved to play golf together especially in Florida where they spent the last 3 winters. Jerry treasured his time with his family and friends and he was very proud of his daughters and his grandchildren.
Survivors include his loving wife of 47 years, Linda; daughters, Kelli (Bob) Purvis of Rockton and Carri (Mark) Tullier of Texas; grandchildren, Tyler and Jacob Davis, Bree Purvis, Mackenzie and Mason Tullier; sister-in-law, Laurie (Greg) Philpot. Predeceased by his parents and sister, Sonja Tessier.
