George W. Salzer Jr.

George W. Bill Salzer, Jr., 57, of Rockford passed away Friday, February 15, 2013 and is now at peace with the Lord.
Born August 31, 1955 in Watertown, New York; the son of George W. Salzer, Sr. and Rosemary Rice Salzer.
He married Laura Couch Davis on September 11, 1982.
George spent his working years in construction, including employment with the Rockford Housing Authority as a Contract Specialist and Developer.


Bill had a love for reading and enjoyed history, music, and sports, and bowled many years at Don Carter Lanes. He had a sharp wit and sense of humor that always made people laugh.
He loved his family and dog, Clancy.
He will be forever missed. Goodbye everybody Ive got to go. Gotta leave you all behind Freddie Mercury

Lovingly survived by his wife, Laura; children, Jennifer (Jon Adams)nbsp;Davis Hoffman and George W. Billy Salzer III; grandson, Luke Hoffman; siblings, John (Karen) Salzer, Mary Giardina and Karen Gray; stepmother, Carol Salzer; stepsister, Renatta Barton and many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his parents.
