George Joseph Jurgens

George Joseph Jurgens, 81, Rockford, passed away Sunday, August 11, 2013, in Presence Cor Mariae Center. He was born May 12, 1932, in Chicago. George served in the Army during the Korean Conflict and was based in Japan. He married Julia Rodek in Wheaton on October 19, 1974. He was an electrical engineer with Lavezzi Precision Products for many years, retiring in 1993. George was a member of the Brotherhood of Electrical Engineers, Local 134. Survived by his wife, Julia of Rockford and his step-son, Chris (Peggy) Hager of Lombard. No services are planned at this time. Cremation rites have been accorded.
