George John Johnson

George John Johnson 98 of Rockford passed away Wednesday January 19, 2011 in Wesley Willows. George was born March 5, 1912 in Rockford. The son of Axel and Alida Johnson. He married Alice Dahlstrom in Rockford on April 6, 1957. He worked for Viking Chemical Company for many years. He served in the Army for four and a half years. Member of Golden K Kiwanis Club. He attended Rockford Schools.Survivors include his Wife Alice. Three nephews Roger (Joyce) Kilmer, James Kilmer and William (Donna) Kilmer. Two nieces, Mary (John) Gooch and Ginger (Wendell) Allen. Predeceased by his parents, Brothers Ray and William Johnson, Sisters Ranghild Kilmer and Anna Johnson.Memorial Service at 11am Saturday January 22, 2011 in Wesley Willows Johns Chapel with Rev. Bruce Main officiating. Visitation from 10am until time of service in Wesley Willows. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Good Samaritan Fund at Wesley Willows. Arrangements completed by Fitzgerald Funeral Home Riverside Chapel.
