George A. Talan

George A. Talan, 73, of Monroe Center, passed away June 27, 2018 at Swedish American Hospital. Born January 29, 1945, in Chicago, the son of Paul & Anna (Gornik) Talan. Served in the US Army during Vietnam. Married Christine Blatt on February 24, 1968. He worked for KTI Transport for many years. Later he owned GAT transport retiring in 2009. Member of American Legion in Huntley, IL and former member of Riverside Club in Elgin, IL. George enjoyed being outdoors.
Survivors include wife, Christine; children George (fiancée Heather Gipson) Talan and Elizabeth (Dan) Mathews; grandchildren, Atlee (fiancée Mike), Boston and Haylee Mathews. Predeceased by parents, 2 brothers and 3 sisters.
