Genevieve J. Hendry

Genevieve J. Hendry, 73 of Rockford passed away on July 10, 2009 in Rosewood Care Center. Born July 9, 1936 in Juda, Wisconsin, the daughter of Charles and Pearl (Staver) Kennedy. Genevieve worked for Quaker Oats and Zenith Cutter in Rockford. She was a member of Rockford United General Baptist Ministries. She loved listening to country music and adored all of her grandchildren and great- grandchildren.   She is survived by her children Randy Foust, Cindy Sanchez and Sandy (John) Harkonen. Grandchildren Crystal (Dave) Hostetler, Kristen Sanchez and Joey Sanchez. Great-grandchildren Ethan, Rohan, Delaney and granddog Stoney Harkonen. Predeceased by her husband Gene Hendry, her parents and 3 brothers and 3 sisters.   Funeral Service will be Wednesday, July 15, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in the Rockford United General Baptist Church, 3126 Marshall St., Rockford, IL 61109, with the Pastor Danny Mercer officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 14, 2009 in Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd., Rockford, IL 61108, from 5:00- 7:00 p.m. and will continue Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service in the church. Entombment to follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the church. To
