Gary R. Bousum

Gary R. Bousum, 63, of Springfield, IL, formerly of Rockford, died at 5:50 am, Monday, August 6, 2007 in St. Johns Hospital, where he died in the loving arms of his wife MJ, the love of his life. Born August 30, 1943 in Marshalltown, IA, the son of LeLand Robert and Eula Jean Bellus Bousum. He married Mary Jane Sola on October 21, 1999. A 1961 graduate from Cedar Falls High School in Cedar Falls, IA. Gary moved to Rockford in 1988 where he became the GM of Mauh-Nah-Tee-See Country Club from 1988 to 1999. He was an active member of C.M.A.A. Greater Chicago Chapter and the Iowa Tall Corn Chapter of Club Managers. In 1999 he became the GM of Illini Country Club in Springfield, IL where they made their home. Gary is survived by his wife, Mary Jane Bousum; daughters, Kim (Doug) Fox , Kathy (Brent) Deener and Daphanie (James) Stock; grandson, Rob Fox; sisters, Karen Antle, Carrol (Phil) Myrkle and Connie (Larry) Pemberton; brothers, Curt (Julie) Bousum and David (Teresa) Bousum; 2 aunts and 1 uncle; also several nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by parents; nephew, and great-niece. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date. A Memorial gathering will be on Thursday, August 30, 2007 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm in Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. To
