Gary L. Hague Ii

Gary L. Hague II, 47, of Cherry Valley, crossed the finish line on Monday, September 4, 2017. Gary fought his cancer courageously for 7 years and passed away surrounded by his loved ones at his home. He was born in Haines City, Florida on May 20, 1970; son of Gary Lee and Nancy (Dempsey) Hague. Gary married his devoted and loving wife, Beth (Saunders) Hague on October 1, 2004. Gary had a great sense of humor, and loved his work and coworkers at Comed. He loved MOPAR, trap shooting, or just putzing around in his garage. Gary spent time with his friends restoring his 1970 Plymouth Sport Satelite he nicknamed “Evil Scowl” an endearing look from his daughter, Emma. It was a gift to know Gary, and an even greater gift to have shared our lives with him. Gary was an amazing Dad, Husband, Son, Brother, Uncle and Friend, and we will never forget the love we were all so fortunate to have shared.

Gary is survived by his wife, Beth Hague; daughters, Karra (Dalton) Hague-Schindel and Emma Hague; parents, Gary and Nancy Hague; siblings, Bill (Marcy) Boesen, Kim Boesen, Sherry Lynn (Ed) Hussung; father in-law, John (Vicki) Saunders; mother in-law, Diane (John) Cobb; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends; and best friends, Jeff Celletti, Gary Feldkirchner, and Troy Ziegler.

He is predeceased by his grandparents.

A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 12, 2017; at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, 1860 S. Mulford Rd., Rockford, IL, 61108; with a visitation from 3:00 p.m. until time of service on Tuesday.
